My name is Andrea Trimarchi and I’m a wedding photographer, specialised in photojournalistic style.
I was born in Messina, Sicily in 1975, I grew up in the countryside – in a village called Santa Teresa di Riva – I have now lived in Palermo for many years with my wife Laura and our dogs Mud and Akira.
I began to photograph when I was 5 years old, with my first Polaroid, and I have never stopped, and I started wedding photography by chance (if things ever really happen by chance!) and I love it!
I love meeting the future bride and groom, to then live the Big Day with them, with all their emotions, their relatives and their friends, and to tell the story of their wedding from my perspective.
For this very reason I started, right from the beginning, to photograph in a reportage and photojournalistic style, to narrate such an important and stimulating day through my photographs, to be able to deliver an authentic, emotional story at the end of the day that will acquire value in time for the amount of memories that it will hold.
I will not restrict the bride and groom, their friends and their relatives with a photographic direction, I will instead maintain a discreet and subtle distance from the events, it will then be possible to catch all those moments that will be unique to the photojournalistic story: an embrace, laughter, a tear, the gaze of a child.
Attention to the venues, details and surroundings will provide the tale of your wedding all the depth that a story deserves.
Every bride and groom- to- be have a load of expectations for their Big Day, that are also made-up of the life events of each of them and their families, up until that moment.
In the same way, it is important for me to create empathy with the couple, to grasp their sensations and their emotions and pin them to the photos filtered from my eyes, and therefore, from my sensibility.
I have always been passionate about cinema, a subject that I graduated in from DAMS (the School of Arts, Music and Performance) in Palermo (in fact every now and again I direct short films), this has definitely influenced my way of looking through the lens.
I am registered with ANFM (the Italian National Association of Wedding Photographers) since 2014, with the double objective of growing professionally and comparing myself with the best colleagues in the Italian territory, to be able to offer my future clients a guarantee* and the best visual techniques and elegance possible.
